Youth & allies

Stand up for your neighbors.

Wherever your family comes from, if you believe every family deserves to speak, believe and belong, you belong here too. Young Americans of every background are the future of this work — and we want you leading it, not just showing up.

Student ambassadors

Represent UAD at your school or campus. You get training, a toolkit, a certificate — and free membership.

Service hours

Earn the volunteer hours your school requires, with logged hours and a letter from us.

Neighbors’ Stories

Interview families from many backgrounds and help share their stories, always with their permission.

Know-your-rights workshops

Learn your rights, then teach your classmates in short, peer-led sessions.

Civic skills

Write an op-ed, speak at a school board or city council meeting, and organize events that bring people together.

Youth advisory council

Help steer UAD. Young members have a real voice in what we take on.

Internships are available in legal research, media, design, technology and translation.

Participants under 18 need permission from a parent or guardian. Adults who work with young people complete a background check.
